Paul Bird Is the firm’s principal and has been qualified as a solicitor for over 25 years. In this time he has gained considerable experience of working in a variety of areas of law. Paul tends to concentrate on Criminal and commercial as well as advising and representing clients in connection with disciplinary professional misconduct matters (especially police officers). Paul also supervises many areas of the firm’s practice.
Jay Syed studied LLB Law at the University of Hull and qualified as a Solicitor in August 2015 where she became a part of Wilson and Bird Solicitors. Prior to her training, she spent a number of years working as a Paralegal in both Private Client and Conveyancing departments assisting clients. During her training, Jay undertook extensive work in all aspects of private client work especially residential conveyancing and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
Jay possesses skills in most Private Client work and Residential Conveyancing and therefore is able to offer advice on Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection, Wills, administration of estate as well as the sale and/or purchase of residential properties. Jay handles each person with sensitivity and understanding. Her approachable manner and desire to work proactively enables a swift conclusion to a transaction.
As a fluent speaker of Bengali language, Jay is able to deal with any queries for those that find English language a barrier. Jay has previously worked as an interpreter in verbal and written translations.
Julie Majek Is the firm’s bookkeeper and office manager. Julie has been with the firm for a number of years and was previously employed in various accounting roles.
Ann Jones As Paul Bird’s secretary for a number of years Ann is an experienced assistant and familiar with most aspects of Paul’s work.
Julie Corbett Julie is the Family department secretary, primarily working in family and conveyancing.
Maggi Bird Maggi is the firm’s telephonist/receptionist meeting and greeting our clients. Maggi also speaks Italian reasonably fluently.
